Nuclear Manufacturing
Nuclear Manufacturing
Our Quality is our Customers Safety
The Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC) has granted Truturn Precision Engineering accreditation to the Fit for Nuclear (F4N) standard.
The assessment process, whilst devised specifically for the Nuclear sector, can be considered amongst the most stringent supply chain assessments and demonstrates our continued focus on high quality products and excellent customer service.
The Nuclear AMRC is a collaboration of academic and industrial partners from across the nuclear supply chain, with the mission of helping UK manufacturers meet the necessary requirements in order to supply their solutions within the UK and worldwide.
F4N status means that our company has rigorously demonstrated its capability to support the power infrastructure needs of the global civil nuclear industry.
Our expertise extends to working on reactor primary work and naval nuclear components to the relevant requirements. We are also closely involved in the renaissance of the civil nuclear build programme for nuclear power generation as well as decommissioning work on sites in the UK.
By working closely with the nuclear industry we have established ourselves as a key market supplier.

Strong partnerships to enhance profitability
Customer/Supplier relationships are an integral part of our culture, that have brought improvements, efficiencies, cost-savings and enhanced profitability. Our ethos of achieving excellence is based upon these solid foundations. Non-Disclosure Agreements are freely entered into. The partnerships we have established with our approved suppliers, have created a strong purchasing power to achieve the best possible prices for all contracts. Machine tooling is a large part of our stock holding, in parternership with our supplier, this is controlled via a modern comprehensive dispensing machine that ensures stock outs are eradicated. We also have partnerships with sub-contractors who work with us so we can offer painting, plating, anodising, grinding and honing. Working with our customers, we will weekly update their MRP shedules to keep them informed of expected delivery dates, thus ensuring their production requirements are met. Partnerships have been created with National delivery services to achieve next day deliveries.
We use our customer’s live interactive web based inventory control management system to activate transferrable data to both customer and supplier creating action plans to provide support to our major customer’s production lines. Just in Time deliveries are achieved through small stock holdings on site. Kan-ban systems are catered for in our stock holding facility by holding equivalent bin sizes. Our modern MRP system activates perpetual inventory controls to reflect accurate stock holding.
